After scheduling your Initial Chiropractic Consultation at Ponoka Family Chiropractic, our team members will contact you to determine the best way to have you fill out our new practice member paperwork for our team to be able to tailor to your individual health and wellness goals.
While filling out our required paperwork; we ask that you provide as much detail in your paperwork about your specific health needs. This will help the Chiropractor understand and connect with who you are and help us serve you at our best.
We ask all of our new practice members to have the paperwork filled out before your first visit to the practice or by your scheduled appointment time or the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Your first visit to the practice will give us the opportunity to connect with you and listen to your health needs and goals.
At Ponoka Family Chiropractic, we care about your wellness goals and strive to help you achieve them to the best of our ability. During this time we will ask that you provide as much detail about your individual needs and concerns.
After connecting one-on-one over your paperwork, we will perform a detailed assessment, determining if your neuro-spinal system is balanced. Our state-of-the-art technology, INSiGHT, helps us assess how your spine and nervous system are performing. After the scan, you will have a comprehensive structure analysis performed. This will allow us to see what structural compensations your body might be making to adapt to different stress on your nervous system.
Once your history and neuro-spinal analysis are finished, we will go over your health goals and determine if our practice is the right fit for you and your needs. Please allot the appropriate time needed, as the first visit will take approximately 30 - 45 minutes. After the assessment and scans, the doctor will discuss if an adjustment is necessary and will begin your Chiropractic care journey.
By the time of your second visit, the Chiropractor has gone over the data collected at your initial consultation which includes assessments and scans and has created a care plan specific to your individual health needs.
At this visit, we will sit down with you and discuss your care plan recommendations along with any additional recommendations if needed. During this time, we encourage you to can ask any questions or concerns that you may have about your health, care plan and the next steps that will be taken towards your health. Please note that this visit will take approximately 15 minutes and will prepare you for your routine check and adjustment visits after the second visit.
After the Chiropractor has recommended a care plan for you at your second visit; visit to visit at the practice is a lot more streamlined. At your third visit and onwards; the doctor will assess the function of your spine and nerve system and evaluate which areas needs to be addressed during that visit.
Throughout care; we will recommend a progress examination visit. The progress visit number will vary depending on you and your presentation, and what was determined as the best plan of management for you. In this visit we are re-assessing you to see how you are progressing with care, and if we can move you along to the next phase of care.
We work very diligently to reach your health goals with you. If a new injury, or a feeling that you are not responding to care as quickly as expected, or a change in life situation occurs, we ask all practice members to please let the Doctor know of the situation and we will be sure to make suitable and appropriate time to review and modify your care plan and provide appropriate recommendations on how best to adapt to best help you.
